CapLead for Nonprofits
A future CapLead experience for organizations that build relationships in the real world — at community events, fundraisers, volunteer activities, partner meetings and everyday conversations.
Nonprofit onboarding is currently being developed with additional attention to consent, messaging configuration, organizational policy and use-case requirements.

The gap
Nonprofits already have systems for known donors, registered volunteers, event attendees and established contacts. The gap can happen before someone ever reaches those systems.
“I'd love to volunteer sometime.”
“Our company may be interested in sponsoring this.”
“How can I support what you're doing?”
“I've been looking for a program like this.”
“Can someone contact me about getting involved?”
The conversation happened. The interest was real. But unless someone captures the next step, the relationship may never begin.
The intent
CapLead is being explored as a conversation-capture layer that can work alongside the systems an organization already uses rather than replacing them.
Potential use cases
Someone expresses interest in helping while attending an event, program or community activity.
Someone asks how they can support the organization's work.
A meaningful conversation happens at a fair, outreach event, meeting or public program.
A business, organization or community leader expresses interest in collaborating.
A potential sponsor begins a conversation outside a formal sponsorship process.
A conversation at a fundraiser, conference or community gathering deserves a clear next step.
These are conceptual future use cases. Not every use case is activated or appropriate for every organization.
Access methods
CapLead is not intended to require proprietary hardware. The experience can live right on a phone your team already carries.
Personal conversation
Scan = QR. The next step lives on the phone already in your hand.
Event / physical environment
Scan = QR. A table sign, program or display works when no one is standing there.
Optional
Tap = compatible NFC. Optional, and no proprietary CapLead card is required.
Digital
Share = direct link. Works with a compatible digital business card if you already use one.
Positioning
CapLead is not being designed to replace donor management, volunteer management, fundraising, event registration or constituent relationship systems.
Those systems manage relationships once they are known. The opportunity we're exploring is what happens to meaningful interest before it ever reaches them.

Where it was always going
Nonprofit organizations can operate across different fundraising, outreach, volunteer, program and messaging contexts. Rather than treating those interactions exactly like a commercial sales workflow, we're developing this CapLead experience deliberately.
Before broad nonprofit onboarding opens, we want the consent experience, messaging configuration, organizational disclosures and intended use case to fit the organization using it.
That's why nonprofit onboarding isn't self-service yet.
Pilot partners
We're interested in working with a small number of nonprofit organizations to evaluate real-world use cases and help shape the nonprofit experience before broader availability.
A good pilot organization may be one that:
Pilot availability
CapLead for Nonprofits is not currently available through standard self-service onboarding. Pilot scope and availability are discussed individually with participating organizations.
CapLead for Nonprofits is coming soon. If your organization regularly meets potential supporters, volunteers, partners or community members in person, we'd like to learn where promising conversations currently fall through the cracks.
